1. Game report (team work).
   Two students or above (maximum is four) form a group. Select one of your favorite 3D games, whatever PC game, on-line game, video game, etc., and play the game with your team members. Describe why you like it (and why your team members do not) and what kinds of graphics technologies it uses. If it is a successful game, describe why it does, if not, describe why it does not. The length of the report is 8 A4 pages or above with photos. Some of good reports will be selected to have a chance to be presented in the class.

2. Movie report (team work).
   Two students or above (maximum is four) form a group. The members may be not the same as the game report team. Select one of your favorite movies with special visual effects. Describe why you like it (and why your team members do not) and what kinds of graphics technologies it uses. If it is a successful movie, describe why it does, if not, describe why it does not. The length of the report is 8 A4 pages or above with photos. Some of good reports will be selected to have a chance to be presented in the class.

3. DRM report.

4. Term project (team work).
   Two students or above (maximum is four) for one group. The members may be not the same as the game or movie report team. The project can be one of the following topics:
   1. Computer Animation - including 3D Animation / Cel Animation / Morphing
   2. Video Game
   3. Film Clip with Visual Effects
   4. Multimedia System
   5. Content Creation / Manipulation / Analysis / Retrieval / Consuming / Representation System
   6. up to your idea and creativities
   Besides the proposal and final presentation, each group should also provide the following homework before the deadlines:
   1. Member List = 3/16
   2. First Monthly Report = 4/13
   3. Second Monthly Report = 5/18
   4. Third Monthly Report = 6/22
   A group should present the proposal first, the proposal should contain the following items:
   1. Project title and member name(s)
   2. Motivation
   3. What methods will be used?
   4. Expected results
   5. Reference (Bibliography)
   During the proposal presentation, all students should write down their comments and rates as a homework.
   
   • proposal presentation date = 5/18
     Finally, a group has to deliver a report (10 pages or above, printed) and demonstrate the result. Of course, a short presentation is also required. The report must contain the following items:
     1. Project title and author name(s)
     2. Introduction (motivation, etc.)
     3. Theory and methods
     4. Implementation (OS, programming language, toolkit, etc.)
     5. Result
     6. Conclusion
     7. Reference (Bibliography)
     A group also needs to deliver a floppy or CD-ROM which contains the source and executable codes, result images or animations, presentation slides (PPT or PDF or HTML file), and the above report (DOC or PDF or HTML file).
